Support women in Arusha as they build skills, confidence, and
independence and be part of one of the most transformative
volunteering experiences in East Africa.
Hub for Impact’s Women’s Empowerment volunteer program in Tanzania works directly with women’s groups, vocational training centres, and community organisations in Arusha placing skilled volunteers alongside local facilitators to deliver practical, life-changing skills training to women who need it most.
Yet in many communities across Arusha, Tanzania, women face significant barriers to education, employment, and economic independence. Lack of vocational skills, limited access to financial resources, and deeply
embedded social inequalities hold capable, determined women back from the futures they deserve.
This program directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 Gender Equality by equipping women in Arusha with the tools, confidence, and resources to build independent, sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.

2-12 weeks (minimum 2 weeks required).
This programme is open to anyone aged 18 and above and is
particularly popular with:
— Students studying gender studies, social work, international
development, business, or education
— Professionals with skills in business, finance, marketing,
or vocational training who want to share their expertise
— Gap year travellers looking for a deeply meaningful and
community-focused experience
— Anyone passionate about gender equality, women’s rights,
and sustainable community development
— Volunteers who have completed similar programs and want
to deepen their impact in a new community
