Teaching English Volunteer Program
Help students in Arusha unlock the power of the English language —
and open doors to futures they never imagined possible.
Overview
English is one of the most important skills a young person in Tanzaniacan have. It opens doors to better education, better employment, and a
wider world. Yet in many schools across Arusha, classrooms are overcrowded, resources are limited, and teachers are stretched thin.
That is where you come in.
Hub for Impact’s Teaching English volunteer program places volunteers directly inside primary schools and community learning centres in Arusha, Tanzania — working alongside local teachers to give students more individual attention, more conversation practice, and more
confidence in the English language.
As a locally-run NGO based in Arusha, our placements are coordinated by people who know these schools and these teachers personally. Your
experience is managed on the ground not from an overseas office thousands of miles away.
No TEFL certificate or teaching qualification is required. All you need is a passion for education and we will prepare you for everything else during your orientation in Arusha.
What You'll Do:

Create engaging activities, games, and learning materials

Provide one-on-one support for students who need extra help

Run after-school clubs (drama, debate, creative writing)
